Years ago, before motherhood was on my radar, a seasoned mom of boys shared this nugget of wisdom with me:

"If you're the mom of boys, you have two choices:

you can be the princess of the pack,

or you can roll up your sleeves

and get down on the floor right along with them."

I prefer to do a little of both.
